Healthy Cook is a sub-brand of Feeding San Diego focused on food education. For this mobile app, Healthy Cook wanted to focus on increasing health risks in low-income families. In order to help people develop better eating habits, the app educates you about different foods, including a glossary of healthy food and recipes. It also allows you to pay directly through the app by connecting your CalFresh Card. This function is especially important in keeping EBT users from feeling ashamed to pay at the grocery store.
